14 Oct 2021
We are excited about returning to face-to-face learning and welcoming students back on site.
All IEC students return on Monday, 25th of October, 2021 for Term 4.
Covid Safe Operations
- Our COVID-safe return to school plan is approved by NSW Health.
- We have effective practices to support the health and wellbeing of our students and staff.
- These practices include vaccinations, mask wearing, and distancing between students and staff.
- Ventilation in classrooms will be maintained, and good hygiene and cleaning will continue.
Return to school
All students should be at school on the 25th of October unless:
- they have a medical certificate which says they can’t return to school due to a condition or illness.
- they are currently unwell.
- they have been asked by NSW Health to self-isolate.
Mask Wearing
- Staff and students are required to always wear masks on the school site unless eating or exercising.
- Please support your child/children to wear masks whilst at school and on public transport.
Vaccinations
- All teachers on site will be fully vaccinated.
- From the 8th of November, all other staff, like support staff will also be fully vaccinated.
Ventilation
- The department will continue to work with NSW Health to advise schools on maintaining good ventilation.
Covid Communication
- Parents/guardians and students will be notified if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19.
- We will continue to provide learning from home, and we will let you know when we can return to face-to-face learning.
Reporting and assessment
- You will receive your child’s/children's Semester 2 report by the end of the year. This will be a simplified version of the report you normally receive.
Visitors
- When dropping off or picking up your child/children, parents/guardians need to stay outside the school grounds. You will need to wear a mask and physically distance from others.
- Visitors must follow the vaccination and mask-wearing requirements, and sign in using the Service NSW app when entering the school.
